Artist's Comments
Techrat is one of my two favorite Jem characters and I've never actually drawn him...until now. This started out as Berzerker from X:Ev, but then I realized "Hey, this could be Techrat." I tried out both hairstyles and Techie looked better, so he won!
I did the coloring completely in marker, which is unusual for me. It was fun though. Then I darkened the pic once I scanned it to give it a darker, gray/red/black look. The title comes from the music I was listening to on repeat while I was drawing. "Vergissmeinnicht" is a song by Eisbrecher. The title means "forget-me-not," so I thought it appropriate for a character I've loved for over 20 years. Pose credit: Male model photo |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
